Jake's Vanilla Cake
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 stick butter (softened)
1/4 cup+1 tbsp canola oil
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease 2 9 inch round pans or a 9x13 pan. In a large bowl with a hand mixer (or in a stand mixer), cream together sugar, butter, and oil. Beat in eggs, and beat until the mixture is well combine, creamy, and fluffy. Alternate adding the flour and milk. Add the salt, baking powder, and vanilla. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Enjoy!
