The Best Fudge Brownies
2 1/2 cups Sugar
6 Large Eggs 2 sticks Butter, unsalted* 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract 6 oz (1 cup) Unsweetened Chocolate 6 oz (1 cup) Semi-Sweet Chocolate 1 cup All Purpose Flour 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder 3/4 tsp Salt Instructions: Preheat Oven to 350ºF. Grease and line a half sheet pan (12″x18") with parchment paper. Combine the sugar and the eggs and vanilla in a large bowl and whisk together to incorporate evenly. Meanwhile in a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter* and the chocolates together, slowly to not scorch. In the microwave do 15-30 seconds at a time and stirring between each interval. Add the melted chocolate & butter mixture to the egg/sugar mixture and whisk to incorporate. Add all of the dry ingredients, and mix just until incorporated. Pour entire batter in prepared pan and bake in preheated 350ºF oven until toothpick inserted into center produces moist crumbs, approximately 20-25 minutes. *Using butter will give you fudgy brownies. If you prefer cakey brownies, then substitute 1 cup of canola oil for the butter. Just melt the chocolates, and then add the oil to the batter at the same time as the chocolate (no need to microwave the oil). Original Recipes: Woodland Bakery |
